Job Description
- Detect and characterize suspicious actors and abnormal behavior, to develop automatic data-driven solutions that mitigate cyber risks and threats
- Conduct security research and critical incident investigation, leveraging insights from various technical data sources including application and infra raw logs, as well as user’s BI events
- Be an integral part of data science projects - from the project definition, to the data collection, and evaluation of the model
- Be the data expert in security projects and work closely with different teams across the company
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics, in addition to monitoring the integrity and validity of the data reported
- Promote cyber security awareness and guidance to other teams within the company regarding our unique methodologies for threat analysis
Qualifications:
- You’re an experienced, technical Data Analyst with 3+ years of practical experience in the fields of cyber security or network intelligence
- You have a deep understanding of network layers, protocols and identification and authorization flows
- You are proficient in visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- You have experience using SQL for quantitative analysis
- You take initiative and drive projects from beginning to end with minimal guidance
- You’re capable of multitasking and have the ability to manage long term projects, as well as quick short-term tasks
- You’re passionate about simplifying and visualizing complex and technical data
- You’re proficient in Python data analysis packages (Pandas, Numpy)
- Experience with other cyber security related positions: SOC, IR, Fraud detection, would be an advantage
- Hands-on experience of Splunk for data analysis would also be advantageous
About the team
We are the Data team in the Wix’s Information Security Guild, combined of data analysts together with data scientists. We're a boutique team, develop and own in-house data solutions for security problems, e.g: detect and prevent content abuse, users’ hacked accounts, abnormal access to sensitive Wix’s assets, etc.
We’re part of a group of highly motivated Security researchers and engineers who are part of Wix’s R&D group. Our job is to allow Wix’s Developers and users to achieve their goals in the most secure way. Our work is extremely challenging due to Wix’s huge scales, agility and the high-end technical diversity at the company. We’re there at all significant milestones: design, innovation, SDLC, architecture, infra, development of dedicated tools/ solutions, visibility, monitoring, risk management and responding.
