Job Description
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Wix, you’ll play a pivotal role in our cloud infrastructure team, driving the development, optimization, and maintenance of our cloud-based infrastructure. You will:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective cloud solutions
Use your expertise in Linux and networking fundamentals to enhance system performance, security, and reliability
Manage infrastructure of Kafka, Artifactory, Redis, etcd, Consul and other technologies
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and efficiency in deployment processes
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and services
Qualifications:
- You have at least 3 years experience working in live production systems
You’re familiar with scripting languages like Python and Bash
You have hands-on experience with middleware systems (Artifactory, Redis, Kafka, etcd, Zookeeper, etc.), and related tools
You have experience in Linux and are well versed in networking fundamentals
You’ve proven experience with AWS
You have strong knowledge of provisioning and configuration management systems (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, etc.)
You understand containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (including EKS and kOps)
You’ve experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
You have strong communication and collaboration skills
